Ashley Cox

My name is Ashley Cox and I am from South Lyon, MI where I have lived my entire life. Sports and community have always been very important to me. Throughout high school I have been apart of many different programs, including CHUM and PEERS. Both programs allow me to interact with students in my school who have different types of special needs. This has played a major part in my perspective on how we treat people. In high school I have also been apart of the South Lyon Varsity Pom team where I was a member for 3 years. Along with pom, outside of school I have danced for 15 years. Dance and pom have shown me how to effectively work with others and how to be a part of a team. In the community I am a part of The Goodfella's Project, which is a non-profit volunteer organization. Being a part of this organization has opened my eyes to see just how hard some people struggle to live a day to day life.

I live with my parents and younger sister, Madison. I have always loved travelling and taking vacations with my family. I also love being around my friends and helping people. I will be furthering my education at Michigan State University where I plan on majoring in pre-nursing, studying different sciences, in hopes of becoming a nurse anesthetist.
